In the Spirit: Connecting with the Right People

As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.
~Proverbs 27:17~

The dreams that you have in your heart is too big for you to achieve them alone.

One of the keys to manifesting your dreams will be based on the people you choose to have in your inner circle. The quality of the people that we spend most of our time with has an influence on how much we will grow and accomplish in life.

Your inner circle needs to consist of individuals who believe in you and your dreams. You need to spend most of your time around people who are consistently challenging you to be better, do better and live better.

I know what is holding you back. All of us want to feel as if we belong. The people that we hang around with gives us a sense of belonging. It is a innate need that is not going to go away. And, whenever we are challenged with the thought that we may need to reduce the time we spend with people in our lives who are not influencing us to be our best self so that we can manifest our highest good, our initial thought often is, "If I do this, I'm going to be alone".

I challenge you with this thought, "Do you want to get to the end of your life and feel the regret that will certainly come as a result of knowing that you could have accomplish more, that you could have experience more in life had you connected with the people who inspired you, challenged you and supported your dreams?"

If you give the previous question serious thought, I'm sure that your answer would be "No!" It's time that you begin to stand up for your dreams.

One of the ways in which you begin to do this is by connecting to the right people that will sharpen the innate talents within you. There are millions of people on this earth. You will not be alone. You will need to "get over yourself" to expand your comfort zone to connect to new people, but you will not be alone unless you choose to be.

You are worthy of having an inner circle of people that are not just with you but are also for you.

This week's In the Spirit message, Joel Osteen shares an empowerment message on why it's important to connect with people who inspires you to give birth to your dreams.

There are seeds of greatness within you awaiting the nourishment and care necessary for them to spring forth  in your life. Isn't it about time that you begin to take actions that will give birth to all the good that is within you? I believe so. You have to believe it to begin to make it so!

I'll like to know your thoughts: What are some ways that you can begin to connect to people who will inspire, challenge and support your efforts in manifesting your dreams? Share your comments below.

Thank you for reading, connecting and sharing. I appreciate YOU!

Make this upcoming week AWESOME!

8 Reasons You Feel Emotionally Exhausted

If you neglect to recharge a battery, it dies. And if you run full speed ahead without stopping for water, you lose momentum to finish the race.
~ Oprah Winfrey ~

How often have you thought, “Where’s my get up and go? I’m tired all the time. But it’s not my body that’s tired. It’s like it’s me that’s tired inside my body.” So many of us are caught up in an energy rat race”, according to Mira Kirshenbaum, author of The Emotional Energy Factor: The Secrets High Energy People Use to Beat Emotional Fatigue. She says, “The demands of life, if not managed, will exhaust our emotional energy.” Emotional energy is defined by Kirshenbaum as “the preconditions for everything we care about. Everything worth doing that’s difficult gets lost without it. Marriages fail when we run out of the emotional energy to reach one more time across the divide of anger and silence. Dreams die when we lack the emotional energy to hang in there in the face of all the obstacles.” In my blog post, Simple Steps to Mana…
