The Power of Choice

Ishita Gupta, Head of Hoopla and Media at the Domino Project wrote:

Every day is a new chance to choose.
Choose to change your perspective.

Choose to flip the switch in your mind.

Turn on the light and stop fretting about with insecurity and doubt.

Choose to do your work and be free of distraction.

Choose to see the best in someone, or choose to bring out the worst in them.

Choose to be a laser beam, with focused attention, or a scattered ray of light that doesn’t do any good.

The power of choice is just that. Power.

The only thing we have to do is remember that we can

control the harnessing of that power. We choose.

Don’t let your circumstances or habits rule your choices today. Become a

master of yourself and use your willpower to choose.

As we are confronted with areas in our life, families, communities and nation that requires change, it is important that we demonstrate our God-given authority to make choices that lead to the betterment of life for ourselves and others.

It is my hope and prayer that this blog inspires you to champion positive change in your life and in the life of others so that you “BE” the change that we need in our world.

She says, “The demands of life, if not managed, will exhaust our emotional energy.” Emotional energy is defined by Kirshenbaum as “the preconditions for everything we care about. Everything worth doing that’s difficult gets lost without it. Marriages fail when we run out of the emotional energy to reach one more time across the divide of anger and silence. Dreams die when we lack the emotional energy to hang in there in the face of all the obstacles.” In my blog post, Simple Steps to Mana…
